Up Close

52 Week Photo Challenge: Week 4- UP Close

I’ve successfully made it to week 4 in my 52 Week Photo Challenge.  I know, it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but to me it is!   I always have the best intentions of sticking with something then fizzle out pretty darn fast.  I think this challenge is working for me because it’s a weekly challenge and not a daily one.  Now let’s just hope I can keep it going!  This week’s suggested challenge topic was “Up Close”.   Eeeek!   It’s a topic I absolutely love.   Those that know me, know I can’t get enough of up close macro photos.  I’ve been known to take pictures of rings, flowers, plants, mold, even dead bugs!  It totally fascinates me to see things up close.  Because it’s winter I can’t easily go outside for fun pictures.   So, I took to getting creative indoors.  I got out my fish tank and bought myself some pretty flowers.  Who doesn’t love flowers?!  Using the macro filters I have for my camera lens I decided to capture the tiny bubbles on the different flowers.  I had a hard time settling on which photos were my favorite so I’ve decided to share several of them!  I think the top one might be my favorite but just couldn’t decide.  Anyhow, here you go- a little bit of flower beauty on a dreary winter day.   I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Feel free to check out some of my friend’s work with their 52 Week Photo Challenge as well.    Jennifer does great work and she’s a great person as well!  Here’s the link for her page:  http://jenniferesneault.com/up-close-finding-me-project-baton-rouge-photographer/
