Years ago I became friends with my neighbor, Carrie. She’s a super sweet tell it like it is kind of girl! I was so sad when she moved. Since then she’s moved several times and has since started her own business called Undersummers. Undersummers are lingerie inspired rash guard slip shorts made to prevent thigh chafing. They are not shape wear. Undersummers shortlettes are intended to help prevent “chub rub” and be comfortable. They are great for skirts or great for teachers that want to wear skirts but also want to be able to sit down on the ground with the kids in the classroom. You honestly feel like you are wearing nothing! In the last year or so I’ve had the opportunity to do a few photoshoots for Carrie and her business. It has been so fun to think outside of the box and come up with creative ways to demonstrate her product. We wanted to show how functional and fun they are!
Undersummers and Babes of Blue Photoshoot
I was browsing Instagram one day and came across an old vintage truck that is available for rent. I ran the idea past Carrie and she loved the idea. I then got in touch with the owner of the truck over at Babes of Blue and we started to get working on a plan for the shoot. Special thanks to Stephanie with Babes of Blue for even finding me two amazing plus sized models. One of the models, Gwen, has a business selling Lularoe which worked out amazing as she was able to provide a wardrobe for the girls to wear. Stephanie was even able to hook me up with a local barn/antique shop, Cantlons’ Collectibles, to shoot at. I swear, the stars could not have aligned more perfectly for the shoot.
We had a beautiful summer sunny day for the shoot. The models turned out to be sisters and were so amazing in front of the camera. The property we shot at had so many unique spots to use. Babe, the vintage blue truck was such a perfect model too. Haha! I loved her so much that I will be using her again in the near future. Special thanks to Stephanie, Gwen and Violet for making this shoot come together for Carrie and I. I think that together we made a pretty good team. The photos were fun with a retro twist.
